Started career as a theatre artist: Actor Rajkumar's real name is 'Singanallur Puttaswamayya Muthuraj', who started his career as a theatre artist at the age of just 8 years. He also used to work with his father in the troupe of veteran director Gubbi Veeranna. While staying here, he has also learned the nuances of acting. Along with that, he also started singing. After leaving the theatre, actor Rajkumar ventured into the Kannada film industry and has left a mark here as well.

The actor gave many hit films: Dr. Rajkumar started his career with the Kannada movie 'Bedara Kannappa, released in 1954, and with this movie he created a ruckus in the cinema. In a career spanning nearly four decades, Rajkumar starred in over 200 movies. In short, he dedicated his career to Kannada cinema.
