He directed hit films like 'The Burning Train' and 'Mazdoor', including Amitabh Bachchan's 'Jamir', 'Baghban' and 'Babul'. Ravi Chopra also directed the famous TV serial 'Mahabharata'.

If we talk about his film journey, then he started his career with the film Ittefaq. Ravi Chopra was an assistant director in the 1979 Hindi film Ittefaq. He was followed by Ravi Chopra, the joint director of the film Dhud (1963) starring Danny, Zeenat Aman and Sanjay Khan. The first film as an independent director, the film Zameer starring Amitabh Bachchan and Saira Banu, was released in 1975. After the film 'The Burning Train', which came out in 1970, came into the discussion. It was a multi-starred film in which many of the top stars of that time worked.
