After Ravi Shastri's lateral flow test showed positive, BCCI secretary Jay Shah said on Sunday that four members of Team India's support staff will stay in isolation.

“After Mr Shastri's lateral flow test returned positive last evening, the BCCI Medical Team has isolated Mr Ravi Shastri, Head Coach, Mr B. Arun, Bowling Coach, Mr R. Sridhar, Fielding Coach, and Mr Nitin Patel, Physiotherapist as a precautionary measure,” he said in a statement.

They have undergone RT-PCR tests and will remain in the team hotel till the medical staff gives them permission to go with Team India.

“The remaining Team India members were exposed to multiple Lateral Flow Tests, one yesterday night and the other this morning. “The members were permitted to continue on Day 4 of the ongoing fourth Test at The Oval after reporting negative COVID reports,” Shah said.
