New Delhi: The same land will be given to the Sant Ravidas temple where it was demolished by the DDA in Tughlakabad, Delhi. The Central Government on Friday informed the Supreme Court about this decision. The temple built in the forest land was removed by the DDA on the orders of the Supreme Court. The Central Government has given this information while answering the petitions against it. On this, the order of the Supreme Court will come on Monday.

Earlier on October 4, the apex court had said that it respects the sentiments of every citizen, but it is necessary to follow the law. Even after this, the top court had agreed to hear the petitions regarding the reconstruction of Guru Ravidas temple on the protected land of the Tughlakabad forest area in Delhi. The bench headed by Justice Arun Mishra had assured the petitioners seeking reconstruction of the temple that whatever can be done according to the law will be done.

The court said that "We respect the sentiments of every person, but we have to follow the law". However, the court made it clear that the temple was demolished because it was built on the protected land of the forest area and cannot be rebuilt there.
