On Saturday, in Pililbhit, police have registered a case against a man for allegedly raping his relative. According to the reports, the 14-year-old was alone at home in Bilsanda while 26-year-old accused raped her.

The accused man has been identified as Harvinder Singh alias Harendra Singh. He is the resident of Madhvapur village. Sources told TOI that the victim's parents and elder brother were alway when the accused raped her.

After, finding that the girl is alone at home Singh has allegedly raped her. The accused has come to visit the family. When the girl raised her voice and screamed in pain, the neighbours rushed to her rescue. However, the accused managed to disappear from the spot. 

During an interview to TOI, the girl's brother said that Harvinder Singh used to visit them ofter. He is a relative of their step-mother. The family has lodged a police complaint again him.

Victim's brother further said that after coming home from work his sister narrated her ordeal and later they lodged a formal complaint at the police station.

As per the lodged complaint, the police officials have registered a case against Singh under section 376 of the Indian Penal Code. The relevant sections of POCSO Act are also registered against Harvinder Singh. While the girl was later sent to a hospital for medical examination.
