BSP national spokesperson Sudhindra Bhadoria has expressed deep concern over the death of 39 people in the recent incidents of violence in north-east Delhi and demanded that those responsible for this should be prosecuted and dealt with strictly.

Bhadoria told ANI, 'It is very unfortunate that 39 people have already been killed in the national capital and hundreds are seriously injured. Property worth hundreds of crores has been destroyed by burning. I feel that at this time, the government needs to act fast. Those responsible for this violence should be booked and dealt with harshly. Peace and normalcy must be maintained.

Apart from this, Bhadoria said, 'I think now is the time to maintain peace, law, and order and everyone should be made equal before the law. On the issue of the police set up an SIT to investigate the matter, Bhadoria said that the police should have acted swiftly and taken immediate steps as soon as the first information about the violence was known. He said that the work done by the police was very less. At least 39 people were killed, while around 200 people are injured in the violence in Delhi. Two Special Investigation Teams (SITs) have been formed under the Crime Branch of Delhi Police to investigate the violence.
