According to JDU-RJD sources, after the merger, the name of the new party can be Janata Dal and the party's election symbol can also be the old 'chakra' imprint. Nitish Kumar will be the national president of this party and the reins of the state will be in the hands of Tejashwi Yadav. It is being told that this experiment of the merger is being done as a counter to the BJP. Nitish and Lalu are assuming that if the vote bank and equation of both become one in Bihar, then it will be very difficult for the BJP to beat them.
