Lucknow: In Uttar Pradesh politics, all parties are putting great emphasis on the Brahmin vote bank. The Samajwadi Party has claimed that the maximum work for Brahmins in the state has been done during the tenure of SP. The SP has now decided that it will increase the respect of Brahmins by placing a statue of Lord Parashurama. The idol of Parashuram will be the tallest in UP. Its height will be 108 feet and it will be installed in Lucknow.

SP has also started work for this. Samajwadi Party leaders have reached Jaipur for the statue. The statue will be constructed under the Parashuram Chetna Peeth Trust. Discussions are also being held with Sculptor Arjun Prajapati. For this statue, SP will collect money from donations. The SP says that it will install the biggest statue of Lord Parashuram in UP.

This step of SP is being seen as a masterstroke in the Brahmin politics of UP. In Uttar Pradesh, there has been a tussle in all parties over the Brahmin vote bank. Talking of the alleged displeasure among the Brahmins about the Vikas Dubey incident and subsequent police action came to light. Congress is agitated on this issue and all the incidents in the state are being linked with Brahmins. The SP has also handed over the command to its senior Brahmin leaders.
