SRINAGAR: Scattered Widespread light to moderate rain and snow is expected to occur during the next 24 hours in Jammu and Kashmir, the weather department in Srinagar said on Wednesday, January 11.
The Union Territory seen cloudy weather with light rain and snow during the last 24 hours. Official statement of of the Meteorological (MeT) department read as follows: "Widespread light to moderate rain/snow is likely to occur in Jammu Kashmir during the next 24 hours,"
In Ladakh region, Kargil had minus 7.4 and Leh minus 7.2 as the minimum temperature. Srinagar had 3.5, Pahalgam minus 0.3 and Gulmarg minus 3 degrees Celsius as the minimum temperature. Jammu Kashmir had 8, Katra 10.1, Batote 6.6, Banihal 4.9 and Bhaderwah also 6.6 as the minimum temperature.
Across northern states, dense fog is very likely in some pockets of Jammu Kashmir division, Himachal, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim over the next 2 days. Amid such low-visibility conditions, it is better to avoid venturing out driving unless absolutely necessary
