Bangalore: Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai said on Monday that lessons on brave women from the state such as Belavadi Mallamma, Kitturu Rani Chennamma, and Rani Abbakka will be incorporated in the school curriculum so that the next generation may learn about their bravery.

The chief minister was addressing after the 374th anniversary of Belavadi Mallamma's triumph over the Maratha army was inaugurated.

Initiatives will be done to develop Belavadi in its entirety. We commemorated Keladi Chennamma's coronation 350 years ago yesterday. The contribution of women to Karnataka's splendor is enormous. It is important that the younger generation is aware of it. We should teach future generations about courageous women from our state, such as Kitturu Chennamma. As part of the celebrations, mega activities will be held in Belavadi next year," Bommai stated.

Sri Vachanananda Swamiji, Panchamasali Seer Jagadguru, is an expert on the development of Belavadi province and Mallamma's struggle against Shivaji Maharaj. This program was put together with his concern and affection for the state in mind, according to Bommai.

The occasion was attended by Panchamasali Jagadguru Sri Vachanananda, PWD Minister CC Patil, and others.
