Raipur: A cabinet meeting was held under the leadership of CM Bhupesh Baghel of Chhattisgarh. In this meeting, the budget was discussed along with the opening of the school-college. Schools are going to open in Chhattisgarh from Tuesday 16 February. Apart from school, colleges will also open from Tuesday. Approval has been given to open the school-college in the cabinet meeting.

The school education department and higher education department will issue guidelines regarding the opening of school-colleges by Monday, after which school-colleges will start operating from Tuesday. This decision has been taken today in the ongoing cabinet meeting at the Chief Minister's residence. In the cabinet meeting, along with giving permission to open schools from 9th to 12th, it has decided to open schools in the state. However, schools will remain closed from first to eighth.

Schools will be opened in two phases in Chhattisgarh. In the first phase, only high school and higher secondary classes will start. After 11 months regular classes will start in the schools of the state. Prior to this, schools have been closed in the state since March.
