In yet another shocking and shameful incident 40 students misbehaved with a pregnant teacher after the teacher complained the parents about one of the students. As the incident comes to light, Twenty-two school students in Assam's Dibrugarh district have been suspended after they allegedly assaulted a five-month pregnant teacher.
As per the information, The teacher was allegedly manhandled by a group of 40 students after she informed the parents of one of the students about his poor academic performance and conduct in the school principal Rathees Kumar said, "Victim was rushed to the hospital & her condition is normal. "
According to Rathees Kumar, the incident took place on Sunday evening after the history teacher informed the parents of a student about his poor. The principal speaking about the incident said, “After the meeting, some students formed a group and started harassing the teacher in front of the main academic block. A few of them pushed her and one student tried to pull her by her hair. Some even pushed her and one student even tried to pull her hair, she said. According to Kumar, some other female teachers, school staff and students saved the teacher from the boys. A school employee told that when she came out of the school premises, more than 40 students surrounded her. The vice principal also told that theu used abusive language. Tried to assault him and also threatened the principal as well, but no complaint was registered
He further told that at one point they threatened to enter my quarters to kill me. Since they are our students, we did not report them to the police. In this whole matter, the police said that they are aware of the incident but no formal complaint has been lodged.
According to the report, the lady teacher was immediately rushed to a hospital as she was on the verge of collapsing since she already had some complications due to pregnancy. Rathees Kumar also stated that he was heckled along with another teacher by a group of students of Class 10 and 11 of the school in Moran area. As of now, further investigation is going into the matter.
