Kolkata: The Trinamool Congress (TMC) is facing another major setback amid the West Bengal assembly elections. Shubhendu adhikari, who left TMC and joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), said on Wednesday that PM Narendra Modi's rally will be attended by his father and MP Shishir Adhikari. Shishir Adhikari said that if they says, he will also take over the BJP membership.

Shubhendu adhikari from Trinamool Congress, who joined the BJP, said on Wednesday that Shishir Babu (Shishir Adhikari, father of TMC MP Shubhendu Adhikari) will participate in PM Narendra Modi's rally (Kanthi in East Midnapore). He also said that he would ask his father to attend the rally of Home Minister Amit Shah. Following the statement by Shubhendu Adhikari, his father and TMC MP Shishir told the media, "I will support my son. If he asks me to go to PM Narendra Modi's public meeting, I will definitely go," he added here.

However, here it is to be noted that PM Narendra Modi will visit Bengal and Assam on Thursday and will also address election rallies in both the states. PM Modi is scheduled to address a public meeting at Karimganj in Assam at Purulia in Bengal.
