Let me tell you all that the United Nations decided on 14th December 1990 to celebrate '1st October' as 'International Day of Older Persons' every year to sensitize people about the abuse and injustice being committed against the elderly in the world. Through this day, efforts are made to give respect and rights to the elderly. In India, children are taught at home that elders should be respected at any cost and they have to be taken care of in every situation.
