Mumbai: Shiv Sena on Saturday questioned the PM Modi-led NDA government's policies on economy, trade and agriculture, alleging that the government is moving towards privatization of airports, Air India and railways and is giving control of farmers' lives to traders and the private sector. Shiv Sena also alleged that the Centre introduced bills on agriculture without consulting its allies, farmers' organisations or opposition parties and the resignation of Union Minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal has made it clear.
Shiv Sena, in an article in its mouthpiece, has written that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) at the time of former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee and senior BJP leader L.K. Advani was different as he respected and consulted other parties. In Saamana, Shiromani Akali Dal member Harsimrat Kaur Badal has resigned from the Union cabinet. The Modi government has come up with Agriculture Bills and she has resigned against it. Her resignation has been accepted by the President.
It is written in Saamana that Shiv Sena has already separated from NDA and now the Akali Dal has taken a similar step. Shiv Sena says Vajpayee and Advani have allies with dignity, affection and trust. Policy decisions were consulted and BJP leaders listened to the advice of the allies. The words spoken at that moment were of values.
