American women footballers have suffered a setback. A court here has rejected the claim of women footballers seeking equal pay to the team's male teams. A California district court has rejected the claim of the women's football team's equal pay and facilities as the US Football Federation in this case.

The court said in its order that the women's national team has been paid more on an average per match basis than the men's team. The court also rejected the claim of women players not getting equal facilities as compared to male players.
