New Delhi: The risk of corona is gradually decreasing, but the black fungus crisis is on the rise. The situation in Rajasthan is that black fungus patients are not getting injections, the patient's family is wandering here and there for injections. The same is the case in Delhi. There has been a shortage of injections of black fungus in the capital army hospital.

More than 30 cases of black fungus are said to have been reported in Delhi among Army personnel or retired soldiers. The patients are undergoing treatment at two major Army Hospitals in Delhi - Army R&R and Army Base Hospital , but everyone is facing the challenge of shortage of amphotericin-B injections. An Army doctor at Research and Referral Hospital said that we are still waiting for enough injections to fight the battle with black fungus. On the other hand, a senior Defence Ministry official said that the government has been apprised of the shortage and efforts are being made to meet the requirement of amphotericin-B on priority basis.

An army officer at army base hospital said, 'I remember my time on the [Siachen] glacier in the eighties, when we waited with our breath for every jerrycan of fuel dropped by helicopter, it's something like we're seeing here right now.'
