Amritsar: On February 17, before the Punjab Assembly elections, a letter in the name of the banned Khalistani organization Sikh for Justice (SFJ) is going viral on social media. In this, it was said that Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) will support CM face Bhagwant Mann in Punjab. In this letter issued in the Punjabi language in the name of Gurpatwant Singh Pannu, it is written that, 'We all members of Sikh for Justice declare our support to Bhagwant Mann of Aam Aadmi Party in the Punjab Assembly Elections. These elections are very important. If the AAP government is formed in Punjab, then it will be easy for us to achieve our goal of Khalistan.'

The letter further read that 'we had supported AAP in the 2017 elections also. It is only AAP, which can get our target fulfilled. Strengthen us by voting for them.' However, after the letter went viral, Pannu immediately released the video calling it fake. Pannu said in his video, 'This letter is fake and SFJ has not extended its support to any political party. It has been made viral by AAP and Bhagwant Mann. SFJ does not believe in the Constitution of India and political parties.'

Pannu also said 'Our target is to separate Punjab from India. Referendum and voting will also be conducted soon for this. Stay away from the lies of the AAP party. I warn Bhagwant Mann and Kejriwal. Be it Indira, Modi or Kejriwal, whoever comes from Delhi will be opposed. I urge everyone to hoist the Khalistani flag at the polling booths.'
