Another turn is came in the case of Ishrat Jahan. RVS Mani who is bureaucrat under UPA government says that changes in the Ishrat Jahan affidavits was made at political level.

 UPA government was submitted 2 affidavit in the case. The first affidavit says that 4 people were killed during fake encounter including Ishrat Jahan after this within 2 months another affidavit was submitted in which says there is no evidence which proves that all of them are terrorists.

RVS Mani who is former under secretary in the union home ministry. He is the one who sighed both the affidavit  and he claimed that government use him as a rubber stamp.

Interview given by RVS Mani to Times now alleged that he was tortured by SIT chief Satish Verma. He says, “ SIT Chief Satish Verma burned me with the cigarettes and I was chased by CBI officers. Adding in this he says evidence in the Ishrat Jahan case has been engineered.
