SP Balasubramaniam, who was undergoing COVID-19 treatment in a hospital in Chennai, is now stable and out of danger. He is trying to communicate slowly by writing during treatment. However, he is on life support. The hospital released an official statement regarding his health update. "He is on ventilator life support in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU)," the statement said.

The statement further reads, "His current diagnosis is stable. He is fully awake, responsive and actively participates in physiotherapy. He is closely monitored by our multi-disciplinary team." SP Charan, son of the singer, also posted his regular updates saying, "My father is moving slowly towards good health. Lung is improving, tomorrow and the day before is better. All this is a positive sign." Doctor is confident. Thank you all for your prayers.

Meanwhile, many celebrities in the music and film industry greeted SPB on social media. Famous musician Iliyaraaja, who is a close aide of SPB, also took to his Facebook page and posted an emotional video, he also soon Wished to be healthy. In the video, he said how his friendship with his career in the music industry grew. He also said that they are both inseparable like 'Swara' and 'Rag'. While doing that he said, "Come back soon, Baloo".
