The Spanish league La Liga club Real Betis have sacked coach John Francesc Ruby from his post. According to a BBC report, the league was postponed for almost three months due to the coronavirus epidemic and when the league resumed, Real Betis asked coach Ruby to resign only after three matches.

According to reports, Real Betis suffered a 0–1 defeat against Athletic Bilbao after the league resumed. Due to the defeat, the team is at number 14 in the table, while eight matches are yet to be played.

In the news that Sports Director Alexis Tugilo will take over by the end of the season. Real Betis now have to play their next match against Espanyol on Thursday.
