International Women's Day 2022:  Indian low-cost airline  SpiceJet announced on Tuesday that it will operate ten flights with all-female crews to commemorate International Women's Day.

In addition, the flight dispatch offices at Delhi and Mumbai airports will be run entirely by women, according to the airline's statement. The ten flights mentioned above will operate on the following routes: Hyderabad-Tirupati, Tirupati-Hyderabad, Delhi-Srinagar, Srinagar-Delhi, Mumbai-Delhi, Mumbai-Srinagar, Srinagar-Mumbai, Gwalior-Kolkata, Ahmedabad-Udaipur, and Udaipur-Ahmedabad. "Around 14 peercent of SpiceJet's total pilot population is female," the company said.

In a first-of-its-kind initiative, the airline stated that in March 2018, it held an exclusive recruitment drive for female pilots for its Boeing 737 and Bombardier Q400 fleets.
