PUNE : On the second day of the 11th Hockey India Senior Men National Championship, held at Pimpri Chinchwad near here on Sunday, Raushan Kumar scored five goals to lead Hockey Bengal to an 8-0 victory over Goans Hockey.

Hockey Bengal crushed Goans Hockey 8-0 in Pool F's second game of the day, with Raushan Kumar hitting an astonishing five goals (2', 4', 53', 54', 59'). Bengal secured a comfortable three points thanks to goals from Abhishek Pratap Singh (10', 22') and Santosh Baxla (19').

Other teams who won on Day 2 of the competition were Hockey Odisha, Uttar Pradesh Hockey, Hockey Jharkhand, Telangana Hockey, Hockey Bihar, and Hockey Maharashtra.

In the day's first match, Odisha faced Hockey Gujarat in Pool F. Odisha grabbed control of the game after a spirited and goalless opening quarter, winning comfortably 8-0. Sushil Dhanwar (17', 26', 36'), Prakash Barla (34', 57'), Patras Tirkey (39', 52'), and Mangra Bhengra (48') scored for Odisha.

Mohammad Amir Khan (6', 24'), Ajay Yadav (37', 46'), and Faraz Mohd (48', 52') each scored a brace as Uttar Pradesh Hockey defeated Kerala Hockey 9-0 in the Pool G opener. Mohd Saif Khan (10'), Deepak Patel (22'), and Mohd Sadiq (50') also scored for Uttar Pradesh.
