Sridevi was cremated in Mumbai at Vile Parle Seva Samaaj crematorium with full state honours on Wednesday. Hours after her cremation, the Kapoor family has released a letter addressed to the world expressing gratitude to everyone for their support when the family was undergoing ‘trying times’.

In the letter written jointly by Kapoor, Ayyappan, and Marwah family, they have asked the media to provide them some privacy in the time of grief to mourn. They have also asked the media to maintain the dignity of the late superstar.

“To the members of the media, we ask that you respect the privacy of the family and allow us the space to grieve. Sri lived her life with dignity and we implore, that you give her the same respect.,” read the letter.

The letter also mentioned Sridevi’s daughters Khushi and Jahnvi and asked the fans to bestow the same love on them as the world has done with Sridevi.

“Let us all who loved Sri, envelope her two little ones, her life, as she often called them, with as much or more love than we gave Sri so that they can live their lives ahead with a little less ache in their hearts,” as quoted from the letter.

Sridevi died in Dubai on February 24 leaving the world shocked at her untimely death.
