Police have stepped up the search for its members after the name of the Popular Front of India (PFI) organization came out in violence in various cities of Uttar Pradesh against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). In this sequence, on Tuesday, Shamli police arrested 4 members. Police is also searching for a young man named Parvez who runs the organization in the western region. According to the Shamli police, they arrested 4 youths at around 12.40 pm on Monday night while distributing the objection to Kairana's Tittarwada octroi. 257 objectionable pamphlets and mobiles were found from him. During interrogation, the accused confirmed there name as Akbar son Sharif resident Mohalla Darbarkalan Kairana, Mohammed Faisal son Hanif resident Modak station police station Modak district Kota Rajasthan, Naushad son Latif and Tahir son advocate Shah resident village Mamor police station Kairana. Many important facts have been found in the mobiles recovered from the accused. According to the police, they wanted to incite a riot in Kairana by inciting people to protest against the accused CAA. Faisal had come from Rajasthan to incite a riot.

According to the media report, on the basis of intelligence report that the network of Popular Front of India organization is spread in several villages of Modinagar area of Ghaziabad, the police has stepped up the search for Parvez Alam, who lives in Kalchina in Bhojpur. Parvez is currently in another state, but he conducts all activities related to the organization from Kalchina. The Intelligence Department has also identified 27 people associated with PFI.
