NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi said at the national conference of Chief Secretaries, which ended on Friday, that each state must recognise its strengths, establish its goals, and devise a plan to accomplish them. This is critical if India is to become a USD 5 trillion economy.

"Future development and job creation will rely heavily on urban regions. Therefore, urban local governments must be reinforced, and urban planning must be done in a creative manner "Prime Minister Narendra Modi said.

Young district collectors and magistrates from states and union territories, as well as officials from Union ministries, attended the conference, which was led by the Prime Minister.

The Prime Minister praised the extensive meetings, saying they were helpful in sketching out a roadmap for the various sectors. He emphasised that the Centre and the states operate as "Team India." He stated that the action items and new ideas addressed during the conference must be implemented as soon as possible.

Prime Minister Modi emphasised the importance of ensuring better ease of living in India by emphasising minimum government and maximum governance. He also stated that minor offences should be decriminalised in mission mode.
He also discussed the use of drones in the service business, such as for the delivery of essential drugs or horticulture supplies, particularly in hilly areas, which would provide farmers and service providers with additional economic value.
