Patna: The Bihar government has made corona tests necessary for people coming from other states due to Deepawali and Chhath festivals. If any passenger is found infected in the investigation, he/she will be quarantined. Random checks will be arranged at railway stations, bus stands and check posts on entry points of the state. In addition, the government will also make arrangements for vaccination of passengers arriving in Bihar who are not vaccinated. The government has underlined the need to be more vigilant during the festive season.

RTPCR check-ups will also be conducted on receipt of the same infection. In this also, people will be immediately quarantined if they are found infected. On the advice of doctors, the infected will be instructed to stay in home isolation. The patient will be admitted to the hospital if the condition is critical. The health department has started all preparations for the same.

More than 300 medical teams will be deployed in the state to check those coming from other states. A team will consist of an ANM, a data entry operator and a lab technician. Passengers will not be examined if they show RTPCR inquiry report 72 hours ago. In view of the festival season, the corona investigation drive will continue till November 20. State Health Minister Mangal Pandey said that the RTPCR testing facility is available in all the districts of the state.
