Jammu: Tremors have been felt in the Kashmir division. According to the National Centre for Seismology, a 5.1 magnitude earthquake has been felt 84 km southeast of Faizabad in Afghanistan. The tremors have also been felt in Jammu and Kashmir at 6.45 pm. The earth shook in the valley and people were shocked for a moment. Fear has caused people to leave their homes and come to the streets and plains.
Earlier, tremors were felt at Champai in Mizoram. According to the National Centre for Seismology, the tremors were felt around 1:43 pm. The magnitude of the earthquake on the Richter scale has been assessed as 4.2. The epicentre of the earthquake has come at a depth of 60 km-56 km southeast of Champhai. The National Centre for Sysmology confirmed the earthquake.
