Lockdown has been done all over India due to Coronavirus. Many efforts are being made to prevent infection in the country. In view of the outbreak of Corona, the Chhattisgarh government has taken a big decision regarding the students. According to this, the students of the state studying in classes 1 to 9 and class 11 in the academic session 2019-20 will be promoted to the next class without any examination. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has issued an order to the Director of Public Education in this regard.

The state government has closed all schools and postponed the examinations of High School and Higher Secondary School from March 19 to control the coronavirus infection in the state. Apart from this, the entire Chhattisgarh has been locked down since March 20. To prevent the spread of coronavirus, the central government has called for a nationwide lockdown from March 24 to April 14.

Due to the school being closed for so long, classes 1 to 9 and class 11th exams could not be held. It seems possible to conduct the exam in the near future. In view of this, the state government has decided to give promotion to students studying in classes 1 to 9 and class 11 there.
