New Delhi: Hearing the Sudarshan TV case, the country's largest court has said that the country cannot live with a divisive agenda. Justice DY Chandrachud while staying on the program based on UPSC and Muslims on Sudarshan TV said that the apex court is prohibiting such thing as nuclear missile.

The court has said that this issue is basically political and we cannot pretend that it will be resolved legally. The last two decades have taught us that our extreme confidence that basically social and political problems will be solved through law has often proved to be a failure. While objecting to Sudarshan TV's program claiming to disclose 'Muslim infiltration into government services', the apex court said that the media must know the message that no specific community should be targeted in the name of investigative journalism can be done.

The Supreme Court further said that the country cannot live with such a divisive agenda. The court has given a statement on the information broadcasting ministry and the National Broadcasting Agency in this case as well as seeking opinion on the 'self-discipline' of the electronic media. Solicitor General Tushar Mehta told the court that issues related to electronic media are being discussed on a large scale. Judge Chandrachud sought suggestions from the Solicitor General that, 'This is a good opportunity to bring self-discipline.'
