Sukhveer Kaur is likely to take part in the 12th Hockey India National Sub-Junior Women's Hockey Championship starting in Imphal (Manipur) from May 11. Olympian Balwinder Singh Shammi, a member of the Adhoc Committee of Hockey Punjab, on Sunday said it is scheduled to be held in Imphal (Manipur) from May 11 to 22.
The Punjab women's hockey team, which will participate in the 12th Hockey India National Sub Junior Women's Hockey Championship, is going to be led by Sukhveer Kaur while Harjot Kaur, a player of the Hockey Academy run by the Surjit Hockey Society, is going to be the vice-captain of the Punjab team.
According to Shammi, among other players in the Punjab hockey team, Tashiba, Sukhpreet Kapoor, Jasleen Kaur, Pawandeep Kaur, Jessicadeep Kapoor, Amanpreet Kaur, Kiranpreet Kaur, Lakhvir Kaur, Harjot Kaur (Vice-Captain) Sukhpreet Kaur, Lakhwinder Kaur, Sukhwinder Kaur, Sania have been included while Gurjit Kaur, Mandeep Kaur, Harleen Kaur and Sukhmeet Kamboj have been selected as stand-by players.
