"56" chest?" asked Congress MLA and talking head Randeep Singh Surjewala on Saturday, in a tweet posted with statistics on negotiating period of violations, civilian casualties and deaths of terrorists - and evidently fired a gun at Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Govt..

Surjewala's tweet (see below) showed comparison statistics from the UPA and NDA government.

The claims Surjewala made to be imposed without saying as much openly, was that the NDA had dealt with Kashmir as compare to its predecessor.

And the last line was a reference to something Modi himself said at a public meeting in Uttar Pradesh. Then a prime ministerial contestant,  Narendra Modi said a 56-inch chest was required to transform UP into Gujarat, whose development model the BJP has over and over again alluded to as an exemplar.

A year later, while thrashing out a land bill, then vice president of grand old party Congress ,Rahul Gandhi blew his  horn to Congress workers that the 56 inch chest would get smaller to a 5.6 inch chest.
