New Delhi: Indian shooter Namanveer Singh Brar has reportedly committed suicide. The 28-year-old shooter was found dead at his residence in Sector-71 in Mohali on Monday. Trap shooter Brar secured the fourth rank in the minimum qualification score category of the Delhi Shooting World Cup in March this year.

He won a bronze medal at the Double Trap Shooting Event of the World University Games held in Guangzhou, South Korea in 2015. According to media reports, police have not confirmed Khudkushi. Mohali deputy SP Gursher Singh Sandhu said bullet marks were found on Naman's body. He said that at present it cannot be clearly stated whether he had committed suicide or died of accidental firing.

He further said that the body has been sent for postmortem. We will be able to come to a conclusion after the report is submitted. Brar's family had informed the police about the incident after which police reached the spot and launched further action.
