New Delhi: Team India has made a winning start to its Mission T20 World Cup in Australia. On Monday, Team India played its first unofficial warm-up match, in which they registered a great victory. India played their first unofficial warm-up match against Western Australia in Perth. India won this match by 13 runs and started their mission well. Team India now has one unofficial and two official warm-up matches to play before the T20 World Cup.
Former India captain Virat Kohli did not play in this first warm-up match. Fans were talking about different things when Kohli was out of the playing XI. There was a lot of speculation, but when Ashwin came for the press conference after the match, he was asked the same question. On this Ashwin gave such an answer, hearing which the atmosphere lightened and everyone started laughing. However, Ashwin and KL Rahul also did not play this first warm-up match. But, all three have sweated profusely in net practice. After the match, the question was raised about Kohli not playing the practice match, then Ashwin said, 'I wish I had been in place of Rahul Dravid (coach) for a day, then I could answer these questions of yours.' Let me tell you that the kind of guesses you are making, I am also guessing something similar.
Ashwin has given a frank answer about how important a practice match is for India or any team. He said, 'No matter how many times you visit England or Australia, every time it is necessary that you reach there sometime before.' I think you need to get used to the atmosphere here till the first match. It will also have to be better known as to what kind of situation will be here.
