Actress Tanushree Dutta’s allegation of her sexual harassment by Nana Patekar in 2008 is creating quite headlines from few days. Many Bollywood celebrities including Farhan Akhtar, Priyanka Chopra, Parineeti Chopra, Sonam Kapoor, Anurag Kashyap, Twinkle Khanna, Richa Chadda and Vinay Pathak has came in her support and shared their views. Amitab Bachchan also made a comment on this controversy but it was not liked by Tanushree and she lashed out at him for his remark.

At the launch of Thugs of Hindostan's trailer when Amitab Bachchan was asked about her views on Tanushree controversy, he said that he is neither Tanushree nor Nana and hence, he can't give an answer to the question.
This remark of Big B irked the Tanushree and she said to HT that she is hurt, as these are people who do movies on social causes. She further added that when it comes to standing up and doing something about what is happening in front of you, there are these evasive statements that don’t make sense.
It is noticeable that, Amitab Bachchan has worked in film which delivers social message. His movie ‘Pink’ also spoke in the support of rights and choice of girl.
