The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) on Tuesday expressed deep sorrow and condolences to the families of those killed in the recent Visakhapatnam gas leak tragedy. The TDP's grand alliance also demanded that the Andhra Pradesh government make strenuous efforts to ensure compensation to the victims with a package given by LG Polymer Company in South Korea. In its first online general meeting here, TDP kept a two-minute silence in memory of the dead.
The National President of the party and former Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu presided over the meeting, which was attended by the Politburo members, party in-charges, public representatives and general body members. TDP issued a press release, 'The opposition party in the state accused the YSRCP government of spreading misinformation.
All the evidence is available, which appears that the YSRCP government has given permission to polystyne and expandable polystyrene by recommending to the central government. The leaders of the ruling party were asked to prove their allegations on TDP and allow the company to approve pollution.
