Tej Pratap Yadav files petition seeking divorce from wife Aishwarya Rai, hearing on November 29

Patna: In a shocking move Tej Pratap Yadav, elder son of Rashtriya Janata Dal chief Lalu Prasad Yadav, filed a petition in the civil court on Friday, seeking a divorce from his wife Aishwarya Rai. He  cited incompatibility issues on his application. Tej Pratap had got married to Aishwarya just six months back in May this year. He sought for the divorce under appeal to Section 13 (1) (1A) of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955.

Worth mention here Section 13 (1) (1A) of the Hindu Marriage Act deals with cruelty by a husband or wife against each-other. Reports on the basis of pictures of Tej Pratap’s divorce petition, claimed that the RJD chief’s son alleged in the plea that he was tortured by his wife Aishwarya Rai .

“They couldn't get along. Application under the Hindu Marriage Act was filed through me on behalf of Tej Pratap Yadav. I can't say anything else at this moment,” Yashwant Kumar Sharma, Tej Pratap Yadav's advocate,  was quoted by Times now. Reports also said that the civil court has listed the divorce petition for hearing on November 29.

Tej Pratap is at present an MLA (RJD) and had served as the health minister in the previous mahagathbandhan government of the RJD, JD(U) and the Congress. He got married Aishwarya Rai on May 12 earlier this year.

On the other hand Aishwarya Rai and her father Chandrika Rai, also a leader of the RJD. They visited former CM Rabri Devi’s residence in the evening but did not reply any questions asked by the media. Aishwarya Rai is the granddaughter of former Bihar chief minister Daroga Rai.aa
