Raipur: The Raipur police in Chhattisgarh on Friday seized the bodies of a husband, wife and two children from a house. Giving details of the case, Additional Superintendent of Police Kirtan Rathore said that the bodies of businessman Pankaj Jain (50), his wife Ruchi Jain (45), daughter Bittu (11) and son Bhayyu (eight) were recovered by the police from a house in Tilda-Nevra police station area of the district.
He said that on the information of the locals, the police were sent to the spot, who have recovered these bodies from the house. He said that the investigation shows that the children were poisoned and killed. A police officer said that the body of businessman Pankaj was lying on the floor of the house while the body of his wife Ruchi was hanging from the snare and the house was locked from the inside.
He said the bodies have been sent for post-mortem and more information in this regard will be available only after the post-mortem report is received. Police officials said inspector general of police of Raipur area O P Pal had also reached the spot as soon as the incident was reported. Pal has given directions to the officers regarding the investigation of the case.
