Patna: The mistakes of the criminal appeal cum bail petition filed in the Jharkhand High Court on behalf of former Bihar CM and RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav, found guilty in the fodder scam, have been cleared by his lawyer. Now the next hearing of this incident will be on March 11. Due to the last hearing, the court of High Court Judge Aparesh Kumar Singh had given time till March 7 to the petitioner to rectify the mistakes of the petition. In the light of the order of the court on the part of the appellant, the wrongs have been rectified.
Let us tell you that on February 24, former Bihar CM Lalu Prasad Yadav had approached the Jharkhand High Court against the latest decision of the CBI court in the fodder scam case. At the same time, his lawyer had filed a bail application. In the fifth case of the same fodder scam, on February 21, the special CBI court had sentenced Yadav to five years imprisonment and also imposed a fine of Rs 60 lakh on him.
The court had convicted Lalu Yadav on February 15, while 24 out of the 99 criminals were released. 46 criminals were sentenced to 3 years imprisonment. In fact, the CBI court found Lalu Yadav guilty of illegal withdrawal of Rs 139.35 crore from Doranda treasury. Earlier, the former CM was also sentenced in four other cases of fodder scam. This case RC 47A 97 was the fifth and largest case.
