The next hearing in the case will be held on June 11. During the hearing, senior advocate SB Upadhyay also raised the issue of death certificate of people dying of corona in the court. The Supreme Court has sent a notice to the Centre on the policy of issuing death certificates to those who died from corona.

The Supreme Court asked the Centre if there was any uniform policy for the covid victims . During the hearing, advocate SB Upadhyay said that a large number of people have died, their death certificates have not been made and they were cremated directly. The petitioner said the apex court should direct all states to enter the exact cause of death in the death certificate of the deceased so that the family gets compensation.
