In WWE, the only Indian world heavyweight champion, the Great Khali, 7 feet an inch tall, has become India's pride today. Khali is celebrating his 47th birthday today. He was born on this day in 1972 in Darran. Let's know about interesting facts about the champion.

Khali, born in a farmer's family, has been of strong stature since childhood. Dilip Singh, one of the seven siblings, was the most different in the Rana family and has had a great body since childhood. However, due to poor economic conditions at home, Dilip could not study as a child and had to work hard like other brothers.

Due to his height, Khali could not even get shoes from the market and moved away from the village of Khali to make slippers and shoes from a cobbler. Whenever they went, there were crowds of people to see them. However, Khali didn't like it and it made him blush.

The people of WWE did not collect their name, Dalip Singh Rana. They began to look for their new name. Somebody called him 'Giant Singh' and someone called him Bhim. Khali, a devotee of Maa Kali, was also advised by some to name 'God Shiva', though he rejected it taking care of the religious sentiments of Indians. The foreigners named him  'Khali' and later became famous all over the world as 'The Great Khali'.
