Dindori: District Magistrate Vikas Mishra, who is working in the Dindori district of Madhya Pradesh, is constantly in the news due to his working style. Recently, the district magistrate made a class 11 student a one-day collector at a camp. During this, the local MLA present in the program asked the District Magistrate for his salary. In response, the District Magistrate said that the age of a woman and the salary of a man is not asked.

The incident took place in Kharidih gram panchayat of Karanjia Janpad panchayat area of the district. A problem-solving camp was organized here under the 'Janseva Se Suraj' campaign. During this, Kumkum, a class 11 student studying at Gopalpur Higher Secondary School, was made a one-day collector. In the program, Collector Vikas Mishra also handed over the mic to the student Kumkum and asked her to address the beneficiaries as district magistrates. During this, local MLA Omkar Singh Markam also reached the camp.

MLA Markam met the District Collector and asked - Collector's salary will be at least one lakh rupees. So the collector said it is more than that. Then the MLA asked again, how much? The collector then refused to tell and said, "Don't ask a woman's age and a man's salary." After listening to the collector's answer, the MLA further said, "Come on, let's assume that it will be Rs 1.80 lakh, then it would cost Rs 6,000 a day. In such a situation, if the student has become a collector for one day, then I give money for that one day, that is, 6 thousand rupees.'' Hearing this, the people present in the camp could not stop themselves from laughing loudly. About 234 beneficiaries were given acceptance letters in the 'Janseva se Suraj' camp and the officers present in the camp also listened to the problems of the villagers.
