The popular filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani who has directed blockbuster films like Sanju, 3 Idiots, PK, and the Munna Bhai Series is again in limelight but for no good reason. He has been accused of sexual harassment by a woman who worked with him in Sanju. B-town stars like Arshad Warsi, Dia Mirza, Sharman Joshi, Boney Kapoor have expressed a sense of shock and concern over the allegations as they believe that he is the most decent person in the industry. Now, veteran lyricist Javed Akhtar also expressed concern over Hirani’s allegations

Javed Akhtar took to Twitter to back Hirani and say that Rajkumar Hirani is the most decent person that he has met in the industry. His Tweet reads,” “I had come to the film industry in 1965. After so many years if I am asked who are the most decent people you met in this industry over almost 5 decades,  perhaps the first name that will come to my mind is RAJU HIRANI. G.B Shaw has said, "it is too dangerous to be too good.”

 A few days back, the director was accused of sexual assault by a woman who worked with him on his Ranbir Kapoor starrer Sanju. Later, Hirani had issued a statement denying the allegations, the woman, who was an assistant on the sets of Sanju, has alleged that Hirani sexually abused her more than once between March and September 2018
