It is alleged that the Mughals broke those temples and got the dargah built there.

According to the MNS, there used to be two twin temples in Pune- Puneeshwar and Narayaneshwar. But during the Mughal period, a commander of Alauddin Khilji destroyed both those temples and got the dargah built there. MNS leader Ajay Shinde is even saying that in the report of Deccan Archeological College it has been confirmed that there used to be two temples there. The same claim has created a situation of tension in the area. Police force has also been increased in the area. Every effort is being made that the situation of tension does not arise between the two religions.

By the way, MNS is currently trying to shine its politics in Maharashtra on the basis of many religious issues. The issue of loudspeakers is also being raised on her behalf, she is also reacting to the temple-mosque dispute and she is also insisting on changing the names of the cities. Recently, MNS chief Raj Thackeray, while addressing a rally, raised the demand of PM Narendra Modi to change the name of Aurangabad to Sambhajinagar. He also appealed to the Prime Minister to implement Uniform Civil Courts across the country. They believe that if this happens, Shiv Sena's politics in Maharashtra will end.
