The US administration is considering introducing restrictions on the acquisition of American technology for another large Chinese manufacturer - the company Hikvision, which produces video surveillance systems. This was reported by a source referring to The New York Times.

Shares of Hikvision dropped sharply after the announcement of a possible inclusion in the black list. If the decision is taken, American companies will have to receive special government permits for the delivery of Hikvision components.

As we have already said, last week the US Department of Commerce banned American companies from selling their products to the Chinese telecom giant Huawei, continuing the course to escalate the trade war with China.

According to Hikvision, the company has not yet been informed about possible blacklists.

Wishing to keep anonymity, the company employee said that "chips that use Hikvision are quite common and most of the suppliers are in fact located in China, and only some in the United States."
