Khagaria: A shocking incident is coming to the fore from Bihar. Here, many women who came for family planning at Alauli Community Health Center in the Khagaria district were forcibly operated upon without giving anaesthesia. The woman kept on crying, but the operation was done by holding her hands and legs.
The women allege that the health workers forcibly performed the operation by holding hands, and legs and shutting their mouths. Due to this she has been crying and screaming. It is said that a private agency named Global Development Initiative has got these women operated. In the same month, similar negligence came to the fore at Parbatta Primary Health Center in the district. At the Parbatta Primary Health Centre, women were made to lie on the floor for hours before being administered family planning. A private agency has also got a contract for family planning in Parbatta Primary Health Center. Overall, the private agency is playing with the lives of women.
According to the doctors, in such a condition women could have died due to infection and pain. However, Civil Surgeon Dr Amarnath Jha told that the Aloli case will be investigated and action will be taken after the report comes. On the other hand, in the Parbatta case, an explanation has been sought from the PHC in-charge.
