New Delhi: On Sunday, farmer leader Rakesh Tikait has been arrested by the Delhi Police at the border. Rakesh Tikait is currently in the custody of Madhu Vihar police station in Delhi. Earlier, he released a video and shared the news of the police being stopped. Rakesh Tikait is also being questioned by the police.

According to the news received, Rakesh Tikait has been taken into preventive custody in Delhi. He was coming here to participate in the protest at Jantar Mantar against unemployment in the country. Tikait, the national spokesperson of the Bharatiya Kisan Sangh (BKU) and a prominent face of the Samyukt Kisan Morcha (SKM), has also tweeted. In this, he said that the Delhi Police, working on the instructions of the government, cannot suppress the voice of the farmers. This arrest will bring a new revolution. A Delhi Police officer said that Tikait was stopped in Ghazipur when he was on his way to Jantar Mantar. After this he was taken into custody and taken to Madhu Vihar police station, where the police spoke to him and appealed to him to return, he said. At the same time, Gopal Rai, a minister in the Delhi government and leader of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), condemned Tikait's detention. Rai tweeted- 'Farmer leader Rakesh Tikait was going for employment movement, but he was stopped by the police at the border itself. This is very despicable.'
