Kolkata: Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader Mukul Roy has been admitted to Kolkata's SSKM hospital on Thursday after his health deteriorated. According to media reports, Mukul Roy has been admitted to the hospital due to an increase in disodium and potassium. Roy's BP and sugar are also not normal.

According to media reports, 67-year-old Mukul Roy's health has been a bit of a mess since his wife's death in July. A team of doctors has been constituted to treat Roy at the hospital. After this year's Bengal Assembly elections, Mukul Roy left the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and joined the TMC. The BJP had then lodged a complaint against Mukul Roy in the Assembly under the Defection Act.
