Film critic, Shibaji Roychoudhury, is watching the movie at this very moment. He is done with the first half of the film and has shared his thought below. Check it out:

"While I was thoroughly disappointed watching the trailer of Total Dhamaal, but the film fortunately is a tad bit better. Though the plot just a oblivious as the ones in Rohit Shetty's Golmaal films, but certain actors like Madhuri Dixit and Anil Kapoor, in particular, hold the film together. In this slapstick comedy, there are some jokes that fall flat but there are some that land well. The film starts with an introductory song that presents all the stars in the film and then we set on a while goose chase. An otherwise genius character actor Sanjay Mishra is unbearable in the film but Riteish Deshmukh's character is hilarious, especially his scenes with Johny Lever.

But the show stealer is definitely Madhuri Dixit. Playing a Marathi wife to a Gujarati husband (Anil Kapoor), the Dhak Dhak girl still has that magic to take your heart away. So far, the first half has had many moments that shined and given audiences the occasional chuckle. Let's hope the second half is even better." Total Dhamaal has hit theatres today and if trade analysts are to be believed, the film is expected to make Rs 13 crore on its opening day at the box-office.
