People and motorists are facing a lot of trouble due to floods on the Hyderabad-Vijayawada National Highway. Due to heavy rains last night, heavy flooding in Chintalacheruvu near Abdullapuram, a suburb of Hyderabad, brought traffic on the highway to a standstill since this morning. With the local police helping to control the traffic, vehicles moved slowly in the area. At the same time, the drains on the way from Batasingaram to Majidpur are in spate. The police stopped the traffic by putting barricades on the canals.

Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department in Hyderabad has warned of heavy to very heavy rains for the next four days and advised people to remain alert. The city residents were horrified by the rain from yesterday afternoon till midnight. The rain has once again wreaked havoc in the city. People had to face a lot of problems due to yesterday's rain and the low-lying areas were once again flooded.

The Moosarambagh bridge was submerged due to the floods coming from above. As a result, traffic between Amberpet and Dilsukhnagar was suspended till evening. In many places, the flood water has reached the houses. Water reached the excise office at Amberpet. On the other hand, Siddipet, Medak, Yadadri and Bhuvanagiri districts also received heavy rains. Kurmaguda (Saidabad) in Hyderabad received the maximum 10.4 cm of rain. Himayat Sagar and Gandhipet reservoirs are full and water is being released downstream. The Meteorological Department has predicted low pressure in the North Bay of Bengal tomorrow. In addition, there is another surface periodicity of 2.1 km over Chhattisgarh. Under their influence, monsoon is actively progressing in Telangana. Officials said that heavy to very heavy rain is expected in a few hours due to the storm.
